Admission Requirements
To enroll in the doctoral study program Humanities, in accordance with the last paragraph of Article 38a and Article 16 of the transitional and final provisions of the Higher Education Act, the following can enroll:
those who have completed a second-cycle study program;
those who have completed a university education program adopted before June 11, 2004;
those who have completed the previous study program for obtaining specialization and who have previously completed a higher professional program adopted before June 11, 2004; the Student Affairs Committee may determine additional study obligations ranging from 30 to 60 ECTS credits for candidates;
those who have completed a study program for obtaining a master's degree in science or specialization after completing a university education program adopted before June 11, 2004, these candidates are recognized with study obligations of at least 60 ECTS credits in the doctoral study program;
those who have completed a study program that educates for professions regulated by EU directives, or other unified master's study programs evaluated with 300 ECTS credits.
The admission requirements are also met by candidates who have completed equivalent education as stated in points 1 to 5 abroad. They enroll under the same conditions as candidates who have completed their education in Slovenia. Before enrolling in the doctoral study, they must complete the education recognition procedure for continuing education.
If a decision on enrollment limitation is adopted, candidates will be selected based on:
- academic success (average grade) – 60% of points;
- grade achieved in the diploma or master's degree – 40% of points.
The decision is made by the Student Affairs Committee.
