Alma Mater students will take part as physiotherapists at the AETF European Taekwondo Championships, which will take place in Maribor between 12 and 19 April 2026, and will provide support to the competitors.
With their professional expertise, they will be involved in the preparation, recovery, and treatment of athletes throughout the entire duration of the championship.
This is an exceptionally responsible and professional role that enables students to work directly with elite athletes from various European countries. Participating in such a major international sporting event represents an important opportunity to gain practical experience and further develop knowledge in a real-world environment.
In addition to working with competitors, students will also be involved in the broader organization of the event and accompanying activities, including the championship’s opening ceremony.
The European Taekwondo Championship will attract numerous athletes, coaches, and visitors to Maribor, and Alma Mater students, as part of the professional team, will make an important contribution to the safe and successful staging of the competition.
The cooperation confirms Alma Mater’s commitment to connecting education with practice and strengthening students’ competencies in the fields of sport and healthcare.
