Final week of the 5th generation of professional education in Ayurveda marked by marma massage

3. 3. 2026

The final week of the 5th generation of professional education in Ayurveda at Alma Mater Europaea University is dedicated to practical training in marma massage – one of the key therapeutic techniques of Ayurveda.

Marma massage is based on working with marma points—vital energy points on the body that influence the flow of life energy, organ function, and the balance of body and mind. With gentle, precise pressure and the use of warm herbal oils, it promotes relaxation, regeneration, and holistic harmonization of the body. It is a subtle yet highly effective method that requires in-depth knowledge and a strong sense for working with the body.

This week, students are working under the mentorship of Gordana Marković, an experienced Ayurvedic therapist and lecturer, and Dr. Rainer Pich, MD, a physician with extensive experience in integrative medicine. Their expertise and practical experience provide students with high-quality and responsible training.

At the end of the program, we invite you to a presentation of the final projects of the 5th cohort, which will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Alma Mater Europaea University (Slovenska 17, Maribor).

The event will offer a dynamic and content-rich insight into Ayurveda—traditional Indian medicine with a millennia-long history, which today is internationally recognized as an effective, holistic healthcare system. Participants in the professional training program will present in-depth research, professional perspectives, and practical approaches through their final projects, placing Ayurveda in a modern context. Each presentation will reflect personal dedication and professional growth.
