The Journal of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (JHRS), the scientific journal of Alma Mater Europaea University, has achieved an exceptional international success – inclusion in the prestigious Embase bibliographic database.
On September 7, 2026, Elsevier’s content selection team officially confirmed that the Journal of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (JHRS) has been included in Embase , one of the world’s most important bibliographic databases in the fields of biomedicine, healthcare, clinical sciences, and related areas.
The journal’s Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Trajkovski, deserves significant credit for the development and international establishment of the journal, having systematically built, together with the JHRS editorial team, an international scientific platform in the field of health and rehabilitation sciences. The process of inclusion in Embase began in 2025, and following its evaluation, Elsevier officially confirmed the journal’s inclusion on September 7, 2026.
On this important milestone, Prof. Dr. Trajkovski also highlighted the broader mission of academic work: »For me, academic work has always been much more than a collection of measurable achievements, publications, positions, or points. Its true value lies in contributing to the development of the academic community, supporting colleagues and students, advancing knowledge, and creating opportunities that may benefit future generations.«
For Alma Mater Europaea University, this is an exceptional achievement and an important international confirmation of the quality of the scientific research and editorial work carried out under its auspices.
JHRS now in Scopus and Embase
Inclusion in Embase carries special weight, as the JHRS journal is already indexed in Scopus , one of the world’s largest databases of scientific literature.
Its presence in both databases represents important recognition of the scientific quality, editorial standards, academic integrity, and relevance of the content published by the journal.
For authors, this means greater visibility and accessibility of their research to the international academic community; for the journal, greater scientific reach and reputation; and for Alma Mater Europaea University, further strengthening of its position in the international research environment.
More information about the journal’s international indexing is available on the Indexing and Abstracting JHRS page.
The achievement was also especially highlighted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barbara Toplak Perovič, Dean of ECM and Secretary General of Alma Mater Europaea University, who emphasized the importance of the journal’s inclusion in both major international databases: »This is an important achievement, as the journal is now indexed in both Scopus and Embase, which further strengthens its international recognition and visibility in the field of health and rehabilitation sciences.«
An achievement we can be very proud of
The inclusion of JHRS in Embase is not merely a new label on the list of indexations. It is an important international confirmation of the quality of scientific and editorial work, as well as of the research environment developed by Alma Mater Europaea University.
On this occasion, we sincerely congratulate Prof. Dr. Vladimir Trajkovski, the JHRS editorial team, the authors, the reviewers, and all associates who contributed to this exceptional success.
We are proud that the science created under the auspices of Alma Mater Europaea University is becoming increasingly visible, recognized, and appreciated in the international academic arena.
