Mode of Study and Course Progress (MA)

Archival Science and Documentology

Hybrid Lectures

The study process in the master's study program Archival Science and Documentology at Alma Mater is conducted in a hybrid manner, which means that students can attend lectures live, in Ljubljana (and in Maribor if there is sufficient interest), or via the Zoom application.

Lectures take place in the afternoon, between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. All lectures are recorded, and the recordings will be available to all Alma Mater students through e-classrooms on Moodle and remain published throughout the year.

Exercises

Attendance at exercises is mandatory (100%) and is a condition for taking the exam. Exercises are usually held on-site in the afternoon between 4:00 PM and 8:15 PM during the week and on Saturdays between 9:00 AM and 1:15 PM, unless otherwise specified by the course instructor. Exercises are not recorded and cannot be attended online.

Exam Periods

Courses generally follow one after another, which means the first exam period is immediately after the lectures and completed exercises, and there is no need to wait for the exam session. Usually, four exam periods are announced for each course. Exams are taken at Alma Mater premises or online depending on the course, usually after 4:00 PM.

Study Obligations

Study obligations are generally carried out 1 to 2 times a week in blocks of 3 to 5 school hours.
